Like the song says, I FEEL GOOD.
(If you're new to this blog, please read the oldest entry first)
Those of you who have started eating right know what I mean. Once you cut out the sugars, wheat, starches and bad vegetable oils, the weight falls off and your energy level goes through the roof. You feel so much better. I exercise several times a week. I have started making furniture again. For many years I was too out of shape to make my rustic twig furniture, now I'm making two tables a day.
When I walk through the supermarket I hear a constant cha-ching of the cash register in my head as I pass up all the junk I used to buy. I realize the savings I enjoy now along with better health. I have more money to spend on real food.
I have been receiving a lot of good feedback from folks who have made the lifestyle change. If you haven't already, you should read Dr. Davis's book "Wheat Belly", and check out the Wheat Belly blog at: http://www.wheatbellyblog.com/

Like I've said, we have been lied to. Lied to by our government, the medical profession, the food industry, and Madison Avenue.
There is an interesting video on YouTube that shows how it was done. Watch : "The Century Of The Self".
"To many in both business and government, the triumph of the self is the ultimate expression of democracy, where power is truly moved into the hands of the people. Certainly the people may feel they are in charge, but are they really? The Century of the Self by Adam Curtis tells the untold and controversial story of the growth of the mass-
This video is about Edward Bernays the father of PR or as it was called propaganda.
Here is a good example of the deceit, the lies from big food, watch the video called

I have a few more videos and sites for you to check out:
Watch a video called "Ingredients"
The local food movement takes root.
"American food is in a state of crisis, but a movement to put good food back on the table is emerging. What began 30 years ago with chefs demanding better flavor, has inspired consumers to seek relationships with nearby farmers. This is local food."
http://www.ingredientsfilm.com/
"At the focal point of this movement, and of this film, are the farmers and chefs who are creating a truly sustainable food system. Their collaborative work has resulted in great tasting food and an explosion of consumer awareness about the benefits of eating local.
Attention being paid to the local food movement comes at a time when the failings of our current industrialized food system are becoming all too clear. For the first time in history, our children’s generation is expected to have a shorter lifespan than our own. The quality, taste and nutritional value of the food we eat has dropped sharply over the last fifty years. Shipped from ever-greater distances, we have literally lost sight of where our food comes from and in the process we've lost a vital connection to our local community and to our health.
A feature-length documentary, INGREDIENTS illustrates how people around the country are working to revitalize that connection. Narrated by Bebe Neuwirth, the film takes us across the U.S. from the diversified farms of the Hudson River and Willamette Valleys to the urban food deserts of Harlem and to the kitchens of celebrated chefs Alice Waters, Peter Hoffman and Greg Higgins. INGREDIENTS is a journey that reveals the people behind the movement to bring good food back to the table and health back to our communities."
You can watch the documentary on Netflix.

"The information on msgtruth.org is the latest independent research regarding the amino-acid based food additives, Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) and Aspartame.
MSGTruth.org was created by former food process engineer and food scientist, Carol Hoernlein. Carol earned her degrees in Food Science and Bio-Resource (Agricultural) Engineering at Rutgers University in 1988 and went on to work in the Research and Development Departments at the largest global food companies as a food scientist and food process development engineer. The companies Carol worked at include: Thomas J. Lipton, American Home Products, Reckitt & Colman, and M& M/Mars. Her years of training at Rutgers Cook College Food Science department as well her R&D experience in the halls of these food industry giants have given Carol unique insight into the modern food industry. Unfortunately, with all the secrecy agreements she had signed as a corporate food scientist, she could not inform the public and also continue to work in the industry. And so, Carol no longer works for any food companies, which is why she can tell you the TRUTH about MSG and aspartame now.
The mission of MSGTruth, is to give you unbiased information based on science, not profit.
Carol can speak her mind on behalf of consumers because she gets no money from the food industry, either as a paycheck, or in advertising dollars. "

'As the nutrient density of crops continues to decline, vitamin and mineral deficiencies are becoming epidemic. At present, roughly 80% of Americans are at greater risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, blood clots, anxiety and panic attacks, and a variety of other severe illnesses due to magnesium deficiency. Natural health expert Dr. Carolyn Dean joins us to highlight this overlooked essential mineral and detail the health issues that result from magnesium deficiency. Described by colleague Dr. Stephen Sinatra as "the doctor of the future", Dr. Dean is a medical doctor, naturopath, lecturer, consultant, and the author (or coauthor) of twenty books, including How To Change Your Life With Magnesium, Death by Modern Medicine: Seeking Safe Solutions, The Yeast Connection and Women's Health, Hormone Balance, and The Magnesium Miracle. Tune in as we explore The Magnesium Miracle and discover a critical key to preventive health."

Why We Get Fat: And What To Do About It. Lew Rockwell talks to Gary Taubes on how to get thin by disobeying the Department of Agriculture and the medical establishment.

And an interesting video called: "The Beautiful Truth"
"Raised on a wildlife reserve in Alaska, 15-year-old Garrett was interested in the dietary habits of the farm animals. After the tragic death of his mother, Garrett's father decided to home-school his son and assigned a book written by Dr. Max Gerson that proposed a direct link between diet and a cure for cancer.
Fascinated, Garrett embarks in this documentary on a cross-country road trip to investigate The Gerson Therapy. He meets with scientists, doctors and cancer survivors who reveal how it is in the best interest of the multi-billion dollar medical industry to dismiss the notion of alternative and natural cures."
----------
A video called "Dying To Have Known"
"In Dying To Have Known, filmmaker Steve Kroschel went on a 52-day journey to find evidence to the effectiveness of the Gerson Therapy -- a long-suppressed natural cancer cure. His travels take him across both the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans, from upstate New York to San Diego to Alaska, from Japan and Holland to Spain and Mexico. In the end, he presents the testimonies of patients, scientists, surgeons and nutritionists who testify to the therapy's efficacy in curing cancer and other degenerative diseases, and presents the hard scientific proof to back up their claims. You will hear from a Japanese medical school professor who cured himself of liver cancer over 15 years ago, a lymphoma patient who was diagnosed as terminal over 50 years ago as well as noted critics of this world-renowned healing method who dismiss it out of hand as "pure quackery." So the question that remains is, "Why is this powerful curative therapy still suppressed, more than 75 years after it was clearly proven to cure degenerative disease?" The viewers are left to decide for themselves."
It's worth enduring all the advertisements to watch these videos.
It all has to do with diet. You've heard the old saying "You Are What You Eat", most people in the USA eat junk.
No wonder there is so much illness. In our defense, we have all been lied to. The propaganda experts of Madison Avenue have manipulated us and lied to us for the past 100 years. But we can know. For the first time in world history we have all the information at our finger tips.
It feels good to be free and know the truth about health and diet.
